I declare an apology to Chad Keck, Chairman of Rugby International Marketing, LLC (aka RIM). A few weeks ago, during the build up to the Austin USAR Congress meeting; I shared/endorsed a post on Facebook written by another rugby enthusiast who’s opinions I hold in high regard. I was overzealous in my share, and did not take the time to fully read/comprehend the contents of the article I shared. That article portrayed Chad in a potential negative light, possibly questioning his personal integrity and intelligence. Neither of which, from my personal interactions with Chad over the past 18 months, could possibly be in question.
I greatly admire Chad’s commitment to his role as RIM Chair and also as a member of the USA Rugby Board. Chad has had me at his home. I also consider him a friend. I see Chad at every major event I have attended in the past year and I should not have treated our relationship, nor his esteemed position within the ranks of USA Rugby and RIM, so recklessly. I sincerely apologize.
Chad and I still have a lot of ground to cover, we do not see eye-to-eye on certain issues that are of upmost importance to the future of USA Rugby, and I intend to make our future discussions significantly more generative and results oriented.
And, Beat Navy!
